- In 2003 I went to Australia for a holiday. We drove down from Noosa to Sydney, stopping off along the way. Byron Bay had been recommended to us as a beauty spot; it certainly was. This scene was photographed at about 7:30pm. The evening was very relaxed and we watched the surf lifesaving club practising in thier boat for a while. I'm happy with the feeling in this painting.
